In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He [Jesus Christ -Yeshua]
was in the beginning with God.

		NUMBERS
The Book of Numbers (c. 1444-1405 BC) is the fourth of
the five books known as the Law in the Holy Bible. In
		Leviticus, God teaches
Israel how to fulfill their holy calling during a period of one
month near Mount Sinai. In Numbers, God prepares Israel to enter the
land promised to the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. What should have
taken weeks to accomplish unfortunately took forty years because of
Israel’s rebellion against God. God denied the original generation entry into the Promised Land
and instead preserved it for the next generation. It took
forty years for this first generation to pass away in the wilderness.
Numbers refer to the census of two generations. The first numbering was
taken on the original generation at Mount Sinai after the completion of
the tabernacle. The second numbering was taken forty years later on the
plains of Moab as God prepared the second generation to enter into the
		Promised Land.
The important lesson for us today is that only the blood of Jesus
Christ, the Messiah secures our salvation and inheritance with Him so
long as we keep the faith and do not depart from it. Although we are not
perfect, His blood will continue to cleanse us if we sincerely confess
		our sins.
		The First Generation:
Numbers 1-10: The organization and preparation of Israel for the
		Promised Land
Numbers 10-12: The murmurings of Israel and God’s patience
Number 13-25: The momentous rebellion of Israel and God’s judgment on
		the original generation
		The Second Generation:
Numbers 26-30: The reorganization and preparation of Israel for the
		Promised Land
Numbers 31-36: The plan on the plains of Moab for the conquest and
		division of Canaan
